By S Entwistle I first tried this in Raglan, NZ in 2003 and have been hooked since. Served cold it has a fresh, slightly spiced taste and it is oh so easy to drink. Supped Raglan style with fries and ribs it's hard to beat. As there's a limited supply I suggest not buying it si there's more for me -)
By John Laughlin After much EXTENSIVE research, which was an arduous task, I managed to narrow my favourite beers of all time down to three. Innis and Gunn from Scotland, La Chouffe from Belgium and Monteith's Summer Ale from New Zealand.
After further testing between friends we conclusively decided that Summer Ale beats the crap out of the rest of them and is hereby proclaimed the finest beer in the world. No question. So don't even think about questioning. Ok?

By Alex We have actually visited Monteith brewery in Greymouth, NZ two years ago. My wife was so fascinated that she even bouht a "I love summer ale" shirt. It´s one of the best beers out there - not for every day drinking but for all those specials moments you can have in live. It just tastes awesome!

I sit in my garden and imagine i'm in the Reef Bar, Mission Bay Auckland loking out at Rangitoto and my favourite, Browns Island in the sunshine.

By Brian Alcorn I first tried this during a holiday to NZ for Christmas 2007 and I have been yearning it ever since. I stumbled upon this website quite by accident and discovered an amazing offer - 24 bottles for £25! You can't argue with those prices, (it's cheaper than in NZ!) so I immediately ordered some and they arrived the very next day. Monteith's only release this particular drink for the summer season, so I did feel a bit naughty considering it's coming into winter in the UK, but I definitely cheers up the dull depressing weather we get here, and helps me remember lovely, sunny, happy times! This is just a fantastic brew, the flavour is quite spectacular - unlike any other - with hints of honey, ginger and some other subtle somethings too! I couldn't recommend this beer enough, and coming from an Irishman, that's quite a statement!
