The SANZA website is an exciting and funky web based community, specifically aimed at Safas, Kiwis and Aussies - SANZAs, living in the U.K. Our aim is to create an on-line community tailored specifically to the needs and interests of our SANZA members by becoming the superior portal of choice while never losing focus of our grass roots.
The SANZA site is growing rapidly into the great portal that we envisage will bring you back daily, and keep you up to date with what is going on in the U.K, as well as all the breaking news of what’s going on back home. But what we hope will bring you back on a daily basis is our online shop and services that we offer you.
A bit about the SANZA team. In a nutshell we are a bunch of idealistic tech heads and not so tech heads who have set out to create that perfect site for our fellow SANZAs. We have all been over here in the UK a while and felt there was a need to have a site more in touch with its members, as well as a site dedicated to SANZAs without diluting itself to accommodate the mainstream. By our own admissions we are a long way off from that perfect site, and judging by the incredible response and the continued growth in members we are heading in the right direction.
A brief synopsis of our main features below gives you a small overview of what we have on the site:
* Our online shop brings you all the goodies from home and we can get them delivered to your door within 24 hours (you'll have to got to the shop to check the guidlines on this).
* The Business Directory provides a list of all the companies out there that we have contacted and listed because we feel they'll make life easier in London. A number of businesses have signed up to our affiliate scheme which allows us to put money back in your pocket in the form of SANZA shopping vouchers for using their services.
* News & Weather includes both live feeds to the hour from the Southern Hemisphere and the world wide weather. Our live feeds are broken down by the SANZA countries with the added feature of allowing you to break the news down into 12 sub-sections. Our weather section gives you the weather for the next 5 days anywhere in the world - not a good place to go to if you are feeling homesick.
* Our London Life section is constantly growing and is a great spot to keep up with what’s going on in London. This is definitely the section where we have the most fun - as you quickly realise how much is going on in London. Feeding off this SANZA has a great up-to-date diary of what’s going on in London that has a SANZA theme or SANZAs in them.
* Our ePix section shows SANZAs out at play in and around London. You may well end up in this section and we can also offer you printed photos for a small fee.
* A Notice Board Section that is increasing by the day with an ever growing readership monitoring what’s in there. So if you are a looking for a spot to stay, have something to sell, looking for a job, or seeing what your society/club is up to - SANZA is the place to go.
* An awesome Competitions section guaranteed to blow you away with the great prizes and fantasy competitions on offer. Keep an eye on it, as we tend to make a big splash before any new fantasy competition and have loads of give-aways to entice you.
From where we stand the future is bright, and we feel confident that you will become a long-standing member of the SANZA community that will continually grow as we reflect the expanding interests our members.
Ultimately, in order for us to achieve our goal of being the number one SANZA portal for the SANZA community we need constant feed-back on new and old developments and criticism where warranted when we go off the garden path. For this to be achieved we would greatly appreciate any comments or ideas that you may have regarding the site and its subject material.
